People.
They do what they think is right,
they fight for their rights.
A nation is formed by people,
people who must stand and unite.
Though there are some who aren't right,
some who aren't nice,
they can form an alliance.
An alliance of destruction and thus we must pay the price.
Religion.
Causing millions to bleed,
making them believe.
Religion,
throwing us into battle,
making us believe it is right.
Is it right to fight against eachother..
and kill one another?
War.
A man's worse fear,
the fear of killing at will,
so why are we fighting?
Why do we seek gore and bloodshed,
when we can stay in peace..
and live as our ancestors once did..
awh glad you like it
a bit of googling for some evidence came up with a quote that pretty much sums up my opinion actually:
"He is wrong, of course. All the great religions -- the ones that have grown over thousands of years -- have had periods of violence and war. All the great religions except Islam have given up war and now practice peace. That's the big difference."
From this: [link]
MOST religious people nowadays are quite peaceful and not at all in favor of waging war or whatever
some of them try to force their beliefs on you, but never violently, and i don't know anyone who does that so uh
do your research, this isn't a current issue /with most religions/ and it's offensive to just throw a big general blanket over everyone who practices any kind of religion
But the reason why Mira stated that Religion brings war is because the conflicts between most Religions usually lead to ridiculous out-breaks/wars over faith. That's what she ment.
Otherwise, yes religion is in generally peaceful. (Even tho I find Islam uneasing)
Good day.
Jesus Christ, my grammar sounds like it was written by a 5 year old drug-addict.
The only religion I truly like and could follow is buddism.
I appreciate your opinion on this, I'm sorry if I offended you in any way
Like I said..this is my opinion, it shouldn't bother you
it makes your opinion seem a bit baseless and unfair . . .
not to say that it necessarily is, because for all i know you have plenty of reasons, but all you said was that it causes war and the death of millions and all
what (modern day) wars are these exactly, besides aforementioned islam
and, to clear that up, i'm not saying all muslims are evil, but that islam is the only religion that still practices violence against other religions, again, making this seem kind of
unfounded
Almost all wars that are very knows in history are caused by people who believed in their religion.
They even killed those who didn't believe in God or such.
From what you're saying I'm guessing you're catholic?
xD but really, I'm an atheist, my parents are too. That's just my opinion on it, you can't incultate your own on me.
2. no, i am christian
3. i said of today, not in the past
4. nevertheless, pertaining to religious wars of the past:
people who kill in the name of the christian religion (etc) are violating the teachings of the bible, not following them
unless it was a matter of self-defense due to some other religion's trying to destroy them, this was completely hypocritical and against their own religion
Also..there are good reasons of religion causing destruction over the world. Not to mention the greed of people. Like...I really hate how Libya has become now. Or the fight in Iraq -_- The Americans are greedy for petrol and Iraq is well known for it. It's really sad how the world has become greedy as well.
I actually think that kind of religion is dead..I respect that you are a christian and follow the principals of one. Not many people are like that.
Also that what you wrote "the christian religion (etc) are violating the teachings of the bible, not following them
unless it was a matter of self-defense due to some other religion's trying to destroy them, this was completely hypocritical and against their own religion" On this one I actually agree with you.
